The ideal candidate will have Mechanical and Electrical experience in some capacity and ideally worked with pneumatics or have a good understanding of them. They are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual who prides themselves on their standards of work and reliability. A strong, keen, and positive problem solver with an analytical approach to make effective decisions with support from the production engineer is essential. A professional manner with good communication skills and a flexible approach to adopt new challenges and input from peers and colleagues is also required. An 18th Edition Electrical Qualification would be a benefit but is not essential. Experience with any form of welding and metal work would be advantageous. Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the engineering/maintenance team and operation functions to provide maximum availability of plant machinery to produce high quantity and quality products. Carry out mechanical and electrical tasks as required and directed by the maintenance Lead. Perform day-to-day maintenance of volumetric filling machines, labellers, and associated packing equipment. Troubleshoot and fault-find. Perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and preventative types of maintenance on various areas of the plant. Install new equipment supported by the production engineer. Perform other adhoc duties as assigned. Support the production team when needed to manufacture products, which may include a variety of different tasks including the use of forklifts and telehandlers at times. Essential skills:
A good understanding of mechanical/electrical equipment. Hands-on approach. Flexibility in your approach to work. Forklift or Telehandler driver license – or keen to gain with training provided. Good teamworking attitude. Ability to work outdoors.
