A manufacturer of modular construction solutions is seeking a Production Team Leader based in Coventry on a permanent basis. The Production Team Leader will lead a team in the production area taking responsibility for team safety, best practice, performance, and product quality.

Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton.

Salary:

£ Negotiable + Health Cash Back Scheme + Employer Pension

The Role

The Production Team Leader will lead a small team in the factory focused on producing high-quality modular systems supplied to the education and healthcare sectors for new buildings. You will ensure that production requirements are safely achieved in your area, always striving to create improvements and reduce costs and wastage.

The Production Team Leader will inspire and motivate the team, collaborating with them to identify skills gaps and the appropriate training and support.

You will monitor production quality closely, working with the engineers to ensure a culture of right first time and continuous improvement. The Production Team Leader will undertake 5S initiatives to sustain a safe, clean, and fit-for-purpose production zone, ensuring that records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

The Person

The Production Team Leader will possess experience in a busy production environment and be familiar with leading and guiding a small team of production operatives. You will be able to work both rotating morning and afternoon shifts and fixed afternoon shifts as required and be able to read and interpret production data.

The Production Team Leader will have previous experience in improving their production cell/zones output and quality through the use of lean tools and good team engagement. You will be able to communicate with empathy in a busy production environment to ensure that the job gets done safely and correctly.
