This role requires a motivated and ambitious team player to join us as a Production Team Leader. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor to coordinate team members and their activity in order to deliver a safe and effective manufacturing operation. Additionally, this role will provide coaching and training development to new and existing colleagues in order to strengthen the competencies and abilities of the wider production team. Job Tasks & Responsibilities

Coordinate production activity through allocation of tasks and priorities to colleagues in line with Production Supervisor’s instruction and the production plan Provide training, coaching and guidance to colleagues in relation to safe and effective production processes Proactively address and escalate safety hazards in relation to behaviours, equipment, training and the working environment Oversee production processes to ensure they are carried out in accordance with business safety guidelines and standards Carry out Production Colleague activities as and when required by the Production Supervisor Responsible for reporting of safety, efficiency and quality data as required by the Production Supervisor Deputise for the Production Supervisor by managing the production shift in their absence Knowledge & Skills

Must have experience of safety critical environments such as production or warehousing Must have experience of process led operations with personal accountability for supporting safety and service Must have numeracy and literacy skills Experience of automated production environments is preferable Basic IT skills are required Decision Making

Production colleagues are personally accountable for ensuring the quality standards of our product are met throughout the production process Production colleagues are personally accountable for identifying and escalating threats to safety and service within their work environment Production colleagues are accountable for following prescribed processes and instructions within their role, as directed by the leadership team Production colleagues are encouraged to identify opportunities for improvement to the safety and efficiency of their work environment Quality & Compliance

Production colleagues are responsible for following all prescribed policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all safety, quality and compliance standards Production colleagues are responsible for identifying risks to safety, quality and compliance standards where possible through the Hemsec leadership team Working Relationships

Production colleagues are required to foster effective working relationships within the Hemsec team, escalating issues and concerns appropriately. Production colleagues will interact with suppliers via the receipt and dispatch of material deliveries. They are required to maintain professionalism while collaborating for overall business success Communication

Production colleagues are required to communicate verbally and if trained and required, electronically with all elements of the Hemsec team.
