Telford Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Production Team Leader in Telford on a permanent basis for a busy manufacturing company. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be managing the supply of pressed parts to different areas within the business. You will be responsible for the control and coordination of all production processes and the day-to-day running of the department, including staff training and development, achieving targets and objectives, and compliance with all Health & Safety regulations. What are the main duties? Performance management of all team members, including absence management. Ensure the daily picking list is completed in priority order and on time. Maintain high levels of communication with Team Leaders in other departments. Attend daily production meetings and conduct daily briefings with the team. Implement standard operating procedures (SOP) where possible. Drive continuous improvement within your department. Support other departments collaboratively when there are changes to demands. Work with the Production Supervisor to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate effectively with your own team and other groups across the business, using clear communication and delegating tasks to team members. What will I need? Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Ability to be proactive and forward plan, with great organization and the ability to prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Adaptable to changes within the business and focused on customer needs. Understanding of all aspects of Health & Safety in and around the workplace. Knowledge of OTD and OTIF customer focus. Qualifications in Health & Safety (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely) or Management (e.g., ILM Level 2/3) are highly desirable. Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, SMED, TPM, and how to implement them is preferred. What additional benefits are there?
