Production Team Leader FMCG Ayrshire Up to £38k Dayshift A nice opportunity to join a fast paced, established and growing business in their FMCG area to lead a team of operators in a Production environment, ensuring quality, compliance, outputs are achieved and have a real focus on working on improvement projects with the wider business, helping to raise standards in behaviours. This is a business we have supported for a number of years during a transformational journey which is continuing. Key Responsibilities include:

Drive the continued growth of our Core Operations Team, taking responsibility for the operations. Understanding the end to end requirements and key stakeholder groups. Ownership of the weekly production plan, agreeing the scheduling of orders on a weekly basis and ensuring that conformance to plan via accurate plan and balance speeds is delivered. This also includes dealing with material supply and quality issues. The accurate recording of production information via the Harford Quality/Performance System and Line Scores. The delivery of the H&S, Quality, Service (Conformance to Plan) and Cost (efficiency and waste) measures for the line and that these are communicated daily and weekly via start up meetings and team briefs. Managing the immediate direction of the operator team in the event of breakdowns and material issues, as well as liaising with the Technical Senior Operator/Engineer in the resolution of more complex interventions. To own and drive effective changeovers, including the management and control of centre lines and changeover documentation and delivery of these as part of our ISO, IFS and BRC responsibilities. To manage all people related aspects of the line, including absence and at least one annual 1-2-1. To own and drive the Line Improvement agenda for the production lines under the job holder’s responsibility working closely with the Operations Manager, Technical senior operator and other stakeholders as required. This includes the regular creation of tactical improvement plans to help drive improvements with the operations. To drive a purely process driven and standardised organisation within the bottling department. Leadership of the operator group, including the development of skills and behaviours across all lines and the team development to that of a high performing workgroup. To find out more then apply now.
