Production Team Leader
Up to £30k, Thirsk, 4-day week, 25 days holiday, ongoing training and progression.
Excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business as a Manufacturing Team Leader. You will be responsible for leading, training, and motivating your team, ensuring production targets are met, quality levels are maintained, and improvements implemented where possible.
The Role:
Plan, coordinate, and control the production to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget. Provide support, training, and mentoring of team members. Ensure the team is working efficiently to achieve high production and minimum downtime. Ensure on-time delivery, overtime reduction, and meeting production plan. Ensure maximum up-time on all production processes and machinery. Report potential problems quickly and resolve issues quickly. Support ISO9001:2008 and communicate Quality Standards to your team. Support the introduction and improvement of SOPs. Evaluate and improve production processes where possible using 5S and Lean and Kaizen methods. Ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
The Person:
People management experience in manufacturing. Confident skills in leading, motivating, and training staff. Excellent communication skills. Quality-focused and a good problem-solver. Previous exposure to modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S and Kaizen would be of great interest.
