Global Giants in Missile and Defence, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, are seeking an experienced Production Test Engineer with expertise in live build. This role entails providing technical support for manufacturing tests of weapons systems and performing live build production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons at both system and subsystem levels. What we're looking for: Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent. Significant experience with measurement and test principles, and associated test equipment. Electronic system and sub-system level fault finding. CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment is desirable. RF and microwave technology at system level would be an advantage. High Voltage training/awareness. MS Office skills including technical specification and report preparation. What you'll get to do as a Production Test Engineer - (Live Build) in Electronic/Electrical: The role involves providing technical support for the manufacturing test of weapons systems in live build production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons at the system and subsystem level. This includes supporting the test engineering process during the design and development phases, ensuring the readiness of test facilities and equipment, and conducting testing and diagnosis of electrical/electronic weapon systems. The engineer is responsible for identifying and implementing remedial and corrective actions to address production test failures and technical problems, as well as proposing improvements to test equipment and processes. They also serve as a representative at Defect Review Board meetings to facilitate the resolution of equipment and quality issues. The role requires a good understanding of electronics, measurement and test principles, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, planning, and organisation skills are essential for prioritising and delivering tasks. Additionally, relevant qualifications and training in electronics, manual handling, ESD, and medical requirements/health surveillance are needed. Please Note:

This role is based near our client's headquarters site in Stevenage, which plays a key part in missile operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links.
