You will be responsible for the educational development of nursing staff within this area, in line with national and local initiatives. You will also be involved in the planning and delivery of specialist education and training. We are seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Nurse who will bring sound clinical knowledge and experience in Community Nursing. This is a challenging role in frontline NHS services. You must be a role model, extremely organised, supportive, and able to communicate effectively. You will be able to work clinically alongside other team members and, most importantly, you will be committed to patient safety and the well-being of your staff. Experience
Essential Proven extensive working within the community nursing clinical setting, encompassing current specialist knowledge across a range of complex clinical skills/procedures. In-depth knowledge of all educational policies and procedures pertinent to community working. Experience of teaching in both formal and informal settings. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Able to produce complex written and verbal reports. Excellent IT skills. Evidence of educational programme development. Effective leadership skills. Has up-to-date knowledge of current issues and changes within NHS which affect Community Nursing. Skilled practitioner who can act as a role model. Able to facilitate the development of clinical learning opportunities for the community workforce.
Desirable Trained clinical supervisor/assessor. Completion of a leadership development programme. Experience of curriculum development in line with education policy and assessment systems.
