Professional Midwifery Advocate
to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a full-time (37.5 hour per week) post across Colchester and Ipswich sites (18.75 hpw on each site).
You will support the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare service and act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work, consistently demonstrating the Trust Values and behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
The post holder must be available to deploy the A-EQUIP model as required by the Trust. Support midwives in identifying their own personal action for quality improvement if required. Utilize understanding of personal and professional resilience to support others in developing this attribute. Ensure a strong interface between the PMA and Clinical Governance across ESNEFT. Use expert knowledge in midwifery practice to support the Head of Midwifery in implementing and monitoring midwifery practice, ensuring robust clinical governance assurance systems are in place. Provide support to midwives in sharing good practices learned through maternity services’ internal risk management processes to reduce the incidence of harm and obstetric litigation cases. We are ESNEFT, providing hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics, and in patients’ own homes.
