The role is Hybrid and can report to any offices including Luton / Sheffield / Warrington The Client My Client provide a single-source software product, delivered as a cloud service, with sophisticated customisation facilities. The software is very wide in scope, covering areas such as works management, work planning and co-ordination, quality and safety inspections, customer service management, routine maintenance, contract and contractor management, financial control, surveys and capital projects, life-cycle projections, etc. with associated GIS functionality, and including mobile apps, interfaces, alerts, emails, dashboards and extensive report options. They also offer professional services such as training, business process analysis, data migration, interfaces, bespoke reports, and system configuration, making use of the wide range of customisation facilities available. The company is a well-established business, specialising in the development and supply of Works and Asset Management systems to local government and utility services sectors. The Company has an unrivalled reputation for the delivery of quality products and services, and a history of approaching forty years of ethical business practices and consistent profitability. In the past year, the Company launched our flagship cloud-based software product that we have been developing over recent years, which provides unrivalled facilities in the marketplace. This role is one of a team reporting to the Professional Services Manager. This team has the potential for growth, in line with increasing demands from customers for high quality professional services and this growth can provide further opportunities for the successful candidate. We are looking to add a highly skilled Street Works Consultant to the growing Professional Services team. With experience in the Street Works Industry, be that local authority or statutory undertaker, you will be the subject matter expert and will develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the software and the requirements of the industry at large. You will be expected to keep abreast of the latest initiatives, standards and codes of practice across all four nations of the UK. You will advise the company of future changes that may impact on the software or services we provide. As a Professional Services Consultant you will undertake activities such as running workshops, reviewing business processes, capturing requirements, configuring our solution based on gathered requirements, demonstrating your configuration as a proof of concept, support of testing, customer training and post go-live third line support. The consultant should have a firm understanding of general and specific business practices including the ability to identify gaps and issues in processes and systems. They will maintain a detailed knowledge both of our software and the industry requirements in your designated areas of expertise. As well as providing services directly to customers, you will also help define specifications and design solutions for future developments. Close contact with the sales team including communications for tendering and supporting potential demonstration processes may be required. The role requires the delivery of consultancy services to customers, which may be delivered from company offices but will frequently be carried out on-site at customer offices. There is a regular need for travel which will sometimes include an overnight stay and/or travel in the evenings. A driving licence is essential....and ideally clean. The position is hybrid, working a minimum of one day based in the office and 4 days working from home per week (after induction). Responsibilities: Street Works Product Consultancy - Your prime responsibility is to focus on identifying and delivering high quality services. You will run or participate in, key meetings with clients including requirement sessions, system demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and end user training. You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with people at all levels of an organisation, and a first-class problem-solver with a professional, pro-active, and customer- focused approach. Pre-sales and identifying opportunities - Although Consultants are not primarily engaged in sales activity, it's essential that you have commercial sense and sensitivity because the services you deliver are chargeable. Business Analysis - You will collaborate with customers to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes. Job Scheduling and Task Management - Consultants report directly to the Professional Services Manager but are responsible for managing their own time and prioritising their tasks in accordance with the objectives set by the Management, pro-actively highlighting any issues or exceptions as soon as possible. Solution development - Based on your experience, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of both the product and services, shaping the future direction. Training and associated materials - You will be required to conduct key user training to customers in your areas of specialisation at customers' premises using prepared training materials.
