Join us as Professor of Endocrinology (Clinical) at the University of Cambridge, continuing the legacy of Professor Krishna Chatterjee CBE FRS FMedSci since 1998. We're seeking a dynamic clinician-scientist with thriving research programs in endocrinology-related fields to join our vibrant academic community. You will be based in the renowned Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS), a multidisciplinary research institute recognised for groundbreaking work in obesity, diabetes, and related endocrine and metabolic disorders. The IMS also hosts prestigious programs including: Wellcome Discovery Research Platform, Integrating Metabolic, and Endocrine Sciences (2024-2031) and the MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit which is funded until 2029. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to proposals for obtaining continuing MRC support from 2029 through an invited bid to their new Centre of Research Excellence scheme. The IMS is based on the bustling Cambridge Biomedical Campus, one of the largest concentrations of biomedical research institutes. The campus benefits from excellent core facilities for clinical research, supported by the large and highly active NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and Clinical Research Facility as well as excellent core facilities for basic and disease model research. Applicants should demonstrate academic leadership and excel in their clinical roles at the honorary consultant level.
