Job Advert: Programme Manager for Employability Pathways and Special Education NeedsAbout the Role:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager for Employability Pathways and Special Education Needs (SEN) to join our team in providing our Adult Learning and Skills Service. This role is pivotal in designing and managing programmes that develop employment pathways into various vocational areas including Childcare, Health and Social Care, Business and Information Technology (BIT), Motor Vehicle/Bicycle Maintenance, and SEN.Key Responsibilities:1. Programme Design and Management: Develop and oversee programmes that meet national and local requirements, supporting vocational areas and SEN.2. Course Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality qualification and RARPA courses to meet local skills needs and national priorities.3. Tutor Performance Management: Inspire excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment while promoting innovative curriculum delivery approaches.4. Collaborative Projects: Play a key role in developing learning opportunities and partnerships with community and external partners.5. Employer Partnerships: Work with the Economic Development team and local businesses to create progression routes for learners.About You:We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong commitment to excellence in education and a passion for supporting learners. The ideal candidate will have:- Qualifications: A Level 4 teaching qualification.- Experience: Successful teaching experience in vocational programme areas.- Leadership: Proven ability to develop and manage responsive curriculum programmes.- Staff Management: Experience in recruiting, supporting, and managing staff to high standards.- Policy Knowledge: Understanding of relevant developments and policies, including Ofsted requirements and the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).- Resource Development: Ability to source and develop learning resources for high standards of teaching and learning.- Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and providing timely reports.- Funding: Ability to secure funding and additional resources for programme areas.- Commitment: Dedication to achieving the best outcomes for all learners and continuous professional development.Additional Duties:- Ensure compliance with legislation, awarding body requirements, and service policies including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent.- Participate in performance reviews and CPD activities.- Promote the service professionally to all stakeholders.- Support other teams during peak times and contribute to staff recruitment and service meetings.- Undertake other duties commensurate with experience and responsibility.To apply, please submit your CV detailing your suitability for the role.Join us in making a difference in the lives of our learners!
