The role: To define, implement and oversee the approach to test within the programme – Test Strategy. To deliver or manage the delivery of required test collateral – Test Strategy, Plans, Schedule, Closure Reports, Estimates, Reporting, Defect Management. Defining roles and responsibilities for the test team including specific responsibilities for producing quality test deliverables and assisting the resourcing using both internal and external partners. Creating project/programme estimates, using designated estimation tools and other test collateral, (Test Plans, test schedule, test reports etc), based on known/assumed scope and execution activities. Defining entry and exit criteria for test phases. Leading the strategic direction of the Test team, across multiple workstreams within the programme. To manage test delivery in line with the agreed test strategy working with key stakeholders across the technology and business. To assist in defining the test environment strategy for the programme. Managing the governance and go/no go checkpoint processes with the Test Assurance team. To ensure that all test phases across the programme achieve the agreed entry/exit criteria before proceeding to the next. Ensuring strong quality gates are met and adhered to with supplier accountability across all projects. Able to manage the communication to key stakeholders around any testing delays and their resulting impact as a result of slippage from suppliers, and other external factors. Cultivating strong, collaborative working relationships with the wider IT and business functions as well as third parties. To coach and support test team members as necessary. Key Skills and Experience: To succeed in this role you will need: Experience working on large scale complex programmes within Banking or Financial services. Proven track record of defining and successfully delivering testing strategies on large complex programmes. Understanding of testing strategies including technologies for automated testing. Experience in creating and implementing test automation strategies, automated testing methodologies, and approaches, tools, techniques (unit, functional, integration), executing automated test suites, and debugging test failures. Experienced with test management tools such as JIRA. Experience setting the technical vision for developing test automation and continuous integration. Strong stakeholder management skills up to board level. Politically astute and able to navigate around a complicated set of supplier and customer relationships. Risk management and quality approaches. Ability to work under pressure and to aggressive deadlines. Interested?
