per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications, and experience About the Role This position is required to manage and coordinate Council development programs for all entry level positions with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and engagement. This position is accountable for the annual application and management of State and Federal funding grants for apprenticeships, traineeships, and other employment initiatives at State and National level. This position is also responsible for the management of Council’s employee development initiatives, such as Professional Development Programs for Cadetships, Scholarships, Graduates, and employees using Study Assistance. This is a strategic position that must effectively partner with the community and the organisation to understand/meet current and future skills requirements using expert knowledge of industry opportunities, trends, and best-practice. About You Our ideal applicant will have a high level of knowledge and experience in managing budgets, acquittal processes, and funding from both Federal and State Government. The successful applicant will also require the ability to provide information including auditing and forecasting in relation to State and Federal employment programs and vocational qualifications ensuring organisational compliance with relevant legislation. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to drive change with key stakeholders and industries, ability to solve complex problems through the design and implementation of effective solutions, and ensure trainees, apprentices, cadets, and graduates remain engaged in their chosen programs.
