We are now recruiting for a Senior Controls Director, whose key skills/capabilities include Contruent (previously Prism), Primavera P6 (planning), and performance reporting including EV. The successful candidate will join us permanently on our major project located near Newbury. Job Summary: Lead the Controls teams to effectively deliver the integrated Cost Engineering, Planning, Estimating, and Risk Management services across Portfolio, Programme, and Project scope. Develop and maintain a successful P3 controls level of service to ensure all scope is supported effectively, including timely recruitment and deployment of resources; Lead, line manage, and motivate a team of P3 Controls Managers and their respective teams and ensure they have the required core competencies, understand and comply with all relevant policies, processes, and procedures; Guide, develop, maintain, and communicate all P3 controls processes and procedures required to effectively deliver the scope, including continuous development of systems, procedures, tools, and implementation of best practice; Develop and maintain relationships and interfaces with internal stakeholders and client team(s), including regular collaboration with client(s); Lead and oversee development and implementation of baselines, following a detailed volume production methodology, including provision of assurance to planning, estimating, and risk activities; Manage and control baseline management activities including provision of oversight, guidance, and assurance of all change control activities, acting as gatekeeper for all trend and change documentation; Ensure programme and project delivery is effectively supported with provision of quality schedule, cost, and risk monitoring, update, and forecasts, adhering to agreed reporting drumbeat; Lead effective and accurate reporting on schedule, cost, and risk information, at project level, to support the P3 Office in development and maintenance of all required, appropriate reporting across Portfolio and Programme; Provide expert input and advice, and represent P3 controls at Programme and Portfolio Boards; Support the Head of Profession in decisions regarding P3 controls strategy, controls methodologies, and integrated P3 controls; Demonstrate behaviours that promote a challenging attitude and the capacity to learn continually, encourage, motivate, develop, and support the team. Education/Experience: Ideally degree qualified in engineering, construction, business, or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience; Proven, demonstrable experience in P3M (Portfolio, Programme, Project) Management techniques; Proven demonstrable experience in managing large diverse teams; Pursuit of the CCC (Certified Cost Consultant), CCE (Certified Cost Engineer), MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) Practitioner, MoR (Management of Risk) Practitioner, PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional), EVP (Earned Value Professional), or PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is encouraged; Proven experience with engineering, procurement, and construction projects; Ideally in Major Utilities or Construction sector experience (Greater than £1B). Skills: Knowledgeable and experienced utilising and administering Primavera P6. Expert knowledge using Excel. Knowledge and experience utilising Cost Management Tools (Costpoint, SAP, PRISM, etc.). Knowledge and experience in risk management tools and techniques including modeling. Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. PMO Reporting skills, Project Controls methodologies, Earned Value Management, Change Management; Solid and provable experience with cost, schedule, risk, and estimating; Project lifecycle experience. Currently hold SC clearance or prepared to go through the SC process. Amentum is an equal opportunities employer.
