As a Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality for a development or delivery area of the HS2 Programme, providing analysis of performance against the baseline and highlighting any trends or risks to support decision making. You will also support controls governance and change management to ensure all impacts to the baseline are assessed and managed. About the role: Develop and maintain an integrated baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality, tracking performance for projects and contracts. Manage, support, and coordinate project controls activities within the supply chain to assure the accuracy and quality of cost, risk, and schedule information. Manage the periodic correlation of schedule, cost, quality, and risk to drive expedient programme delivery. Review supply chain programme submissions and update client schedules. Manage risks for a development or delivery area of the HS2 Programme, leveraging SME advice and technical knowledge. Support and coordinate the change management process, ensuring impacts to the baseline are effectively assessed and managed. Manage the coordination and communication of the Period reporting cycle ensuring compliance with the reporting life cycle. Manage the assurance of Project Controls Data and ensure adherence with PMO and Project Controls policies. Provide functional line management, performance management, and objective setting support to direct reports. Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and support organizational initiatives on EDI. About You: Skills: Prioritisation - Ability to define and prioritise objectives and assess data. Influencing & Negotiating Skills - Ability to be assertive without conflict. Effective communication skills - Ability to present and communicate project controls updates and processes. Facilitation - Ability to manage workshops to solve critical problems. Data analysis - Ability to analyse and interpret data and produce accurate reports. Problem Solving - Ability to identify problems and implement solutions. Knowledge: Knowledge of core Project Controls disciplines, including Schedule Management, Cost Management, Change Management, and Risk Management. Basic knowledge of baseline development and maintenance. Understanding of cost delivery and schedule targets. Type of experience: Experience in project controls on projects/programmes. Experience in core project controls functions, including baseline maintenance and performance reporting. Experience in managing Project Controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, Prism, CEMAR). Experience in facilitating project performance reviews with stakeholders. Experience in managing governance forums including project change boards.
