who has experience working as a Joiner or Carpenter or Tradesperson within the construction/joinery industry, or an existing order processor/project coordinator looking for a new challenge. Working as the Fire Door & Joinery Project Coordinator your primary purpose in this role is to coordinate and manage orders for fire doors, panels, and joinery products, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and align with client requirements. As the Fire Door & Joinery Project Coordinator you will work closely with the Project Manager, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure the smooth processing of orders, while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. This role involves handling projects in ranging values, and ensuring timely, accurate production through effective communication and order management. Once fully trained your duties as the Fire Door & Joinery Project Coordinator include: Order Processing:

Coordinate the scheduling and processing of fire doors, panels, and joinery orders, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations and that orders run efficiently. Manufacturing Coordination:

Create detailed manufacturing specifications and CAD to support production. Fire Door Compliance:

Ensure fire door orders comply with relevant safety certifications (e.g., BS 476, EN 1634-1), including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of fire safety regulations. Liaising with Stakeholders:

Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, site managers, and suppliers to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery of fire doors, panels, and joinery items. Supplier Management:

Liaise with suppliers to source and purchase materials for fire doors, panels, and joinery, ensuring that quality standards and project deadlines are met, working alongside the Purchasing Coordinator. Quality Assurance:

Follow company policies and procedures related to quality assurance (ISO 9001) and sustainable sourcing (FSC certification, Breeam, LEED, etc). Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, orders, and communications. Problem-Solving:

Identify and solve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, particularly those related to fire door and joinery compliance. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Project Management Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of fire door, panel, and joinery manufacturing processes, with knowledge of relevant safety standards and certifications. Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with clients, project teams, and suppliers effectively. Technical Proficiency:

Experience with CAD software and order management systems is desirable, along with general proficiency in IT applications. Problem-Solving Abilities:

A proactive approach to identifying solutions for any project-related issues. Attention to Detail:

Methodical and precise in order processing, ensuring accuracy across all specifications, drawings, and documentation. Compliance and Safety Focus:

Knowledge of fire door safety regulations and willingness to maintain compliance across all relevant standards. Independent Working:

Ability to take responsibility for independent tasks and manage on-site inspections to ensure project accuracy. Target and Deadline Orientation:

Ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines. Qualifications:

Experience in joinery, fire door, or construction-related industries is highly desirable, CAD experience preferred, familiarity with fire safety regulations and standards for fire doors (BS 476, EN 1634-1), strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
