Project Delivery Manager

to join our team. This role will lead and oversee the performance of assigned projects within the Central Services scope, with an initial focus on

Sludge Treatment Centre (STC) Recommissioning . Key responsibilities include: Prioritising

the safe and efficient delivery of all allocated projects, ensuring industry-leading safety performance.

Collaborating

closely with the wider Central Services team, Commercial Operations, and other business units to deliver consistent, effective, and efficient commercial assurance.

Building and maintaining

strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Internal Audit.

This role offers the opportunity to drive critical projects while maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency, and collaboration. As the Project Manager for the Sludge Treatment Centre (STC) Recommissioning Programme, you will lead the project team in working to meet two key principles: First key principle - to ensure we meet safe, legal, and compliant standards of operation. Second key principle - to re-commission the 10 STCs and hand them back to Water Recycling Operations in a phased way, with full digitally enabled playbooks, site document records providing one view of the site and its assets, and retrained operators. The activities we will complete to deliver these key principles include, site surveys, reviews of current information and drawings, collaborative planning sessions, revision of HAZOPS, RAMS, Impact Plans, Safe Systems of Work, PCIs, CPPs, site set up and welfare, site inductions, safe isolations, full inspection and testing of all electrical equipment, fire and gas system checks, process safety critical interlock checks, remedial works, dry commissioning, drawing updates, wet commissioning, hands off trials and playbooks. What will you be doing? Lead a safety culture to ensure all project work is fully compliant with our obligations, policies and procedures, particularly that all work fully complies with the requirements of the Construction, Design & Management (CDM) Regulations and company policies.

Lead the project team in a proactive design and delivery approach, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory obligations - with a particular emphasis on CDM requirements.

Drive the successful delivery of projects by using robust project planning, execution, and monitoring processes that align with agreed timelines and budgets.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring transparent communication of project progress, challenges, and milestones to all stakeholders.

Lead in the identification and mitigation of financial risks, ensuring a proactive approach to managing cost variances and unforeseen expenses.

Skills and experience required: Construction Project Management experience is essential.

Health and safety management qualified to a minimum of IOSH level with a strong track record of safety management.

Good Knowledge of H&S & CDM regulations.

APMP Qualification or equivalent.

Chartered member of a professional body (e.g. IET, IMechE, IOW or CIWEM) or working towards this.

In-depth and broad expertise in water recycling processes, including sludge treatment.

Strong track record of delivery on time.

Good knowledge of the water recycling regulatory environment.

Demonstrable understanding of process safety principles.

Knowledge of NEC Option A, C, & E contracts.

Experience of delivering projects to budget.

Experience of working within a commercial framework.
