The Devon Referral Support Service (DRSS) is a dynamic team that works on behalf of GP practices and providers to promote the safe and equitable application of referral pathways, commissioning policies and patient choice. DRSS has two key delivery areas - supporting quality and transparency through its referral management service; and promoting best practice through referral pathway review. The Devon Referral Support Service is an integral part of the wider Delivery directorate and enacts the relevant strategic and operational asks of the directorate. Main responsibilities

The post holder will provide support across a portfolio of projects to enhance operational service delivery. To provide and coordinate administrative and project support for the Project Delivery Team. As part of this role, there will be a requirement to work in a matrix and flexible way across multiple areas/teams to support business needs. The objectives of the role will be regularly reviewed to align to organisational priorities. Support the delivery of a portfolio of projects within a team that facilitates patients' timely access to appropriate care pathways. Support team using project management, LEAN and service improvement methodologies. Assist with communication and engagement with stakeholders across the ICB footprint. Promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge, and technology to improve, inform and support a variety of projects, services, and initiatives. Supervise staff in day to day activities as directed. Working with clinicians and service managers to develop care pathways for use by GPs and operational staff. Organising and planning events as necessary and producing supporting information material. Managing the electronic diary for the team, including arranging and changing appointments, prioritising these as appropriate. Inputting, monitoring and checking data, required for finite and ongoing projects within the team. Acting as a point of contact for teams, dealing and responding effectively with complex queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously. Running and collating reports which may include reports to the Board and senior management as required. Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team. Qualifications

Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience. Experience

Significant administrative or relevant experience including initiating and maintaining office systems. Knowledge of eRS. Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public, clinicians and stakeholders, and dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Advanced keyboard skills with a high degree of accuracy. Knowledge or experience of minute taking or note taking skills. Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Working knowledge of Patient Administration Systems. Knowledge of NHS. Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act. Skills

Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to staff and service users. Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task. Effective team working. Time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise. Skills for managing aspects of projects ensuring they meet financial targets. Training or experience of direct line management. Advanced keyboard skills with a high degree of accuracy for minute taking and data input. Other
