Renewable Energy - Development Consultant at Piper Maddox Project Developer – Southeast England Hybrid Working System Salary Dependent on Candidate Experience (Ideal range = 1-3 years of experience) Piper Maddox are representing a leading name in the UK renewable energy market to build out their development team. Having been in the space since 2018, our client are highly experienced and have a strong track record of taking utility scale Solar and BESS projects from inception through to the ready to build stage. Pipeline-wise, this company has put together a mix of collocated, and standalone renewable energy schemes, totaling over 1GW, which is looking at growing over the coming years. You would have the opportunity to contribute to the development phase of projects, as well as having insight into the project transaction stage when the assets are transferred to our client’s asset management partners. This company is a subsidiary of an Investment Management firm. Having the project funding being from your parent company provides a certain level of stability when it comes to upcoming projects and ensuring that your projects come to fruition. You would also be in constant contact and have support from the parent organization, creating a strong overall company culture. They are looking to add a Project Developer to their team to assist their Head of Development across the project development lifecycle. You would have full exposure to the full development lifecycle – contributing to matters across land, planning, grid, as well as financial viability. The compact size of the team will allow you to take a higher level of responsibility than could usually be expected at this level of role. Your role would include: Ensuring project viability from the initial land scoping, through the planning submission, and maintaining grid connection agreements. Coordinating with external consultants and advisors to manage the consent and discharge of planning conditions. Assessing the suitability of potential sites for renewable energy developments, liaising with landowners, and identifying constraints that would impact upon a project. The opportunity to contribute and be a part of investor-level meetings in relation to the sale of RTB projects. Our client has outlined a suitable background to be in the land/surveying space, those with an understanding of the development process and steps involved. An understanding of the UK renewable energy market and some of the key constraints would be highly useful for this position. This is a great opportunity for someone in the earlier stages of their career to take on a higher level of ownership and responsibility within renewable energy projects. There will be a steep learning curve, but the role itself is a fantastic chance to get involved in the entire development lifecycle in a key player for the UK renewable energy market.
