Civil Engineering - £40million Port conversion Enabling works

About the role of Project Director

In this role, you will join during the enabling works stage on the £1.2 billion Port development project. You will be the Project Director for the conversion of Scotland's largest brownfield port, Ardersier, into a facility for offshore wind installations. This will include extensive excavation and backfilling works, constructing reinforced concrete capping structures for a new quayside and anchor wall, and building a 65,000 square meter apron structure. The project will begin with the £40 million enabling works package, for which a Project Director will need to be appointed.

Responsibilities for the Project Director

Manage and monitor project teams, works progress across projects, resources, financials, and works quality. Leading project manager team. Client and Stakeholder meetings and reporting. Client liaising and negotiation and building strong working relationships. Maintain project timelines and achieving deliverables. Strategic decision making and leadership of delivery team. Cost effective planning to achieve projects completion. Risk management.

Requirements for the Project Director

Relevant Project or Construction Management related qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent) essential. Experience in Civil Engineering sector essential - preferably structures/remediation/groundworks. Experience at Project Management or Project Director level on Civil Engineering projects essential. Experience on enabling works projects desirable. CIOB or equivalent in Construction Project Management desirable. Experience on Port development projects advantageous. UK drivers license.
