Projects Director Fast growing IPP (utility scale solar) Excellent salary, bonus, and LTIP London An award-winning and fast-growing IPP (Independent Power Producer) is seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Projects Director to join their dynamic team. This senior leadership role is instrumental in delivering high-value, capital-intensive projects while shaping and improving project delivery processes and growing a high-performing team. The Projects Director will be a visible leader, working closely with internal stakeholders, C-suite executives, investors, and external partners to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Collaboration

Maintain a visible presence in the office to foster collaboration and partnership with internal stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and investors, providing robust justifications for key decisions. Lead and develop the Project Management function and capability within the company.

Project Delivery

Manage the delivery of large CAPEX projects (£25m+), whether as a single significant project or a portfolio of schemes. Define and develop project delivery processes, including program and sequencing with clear project stage gates.

Procurement and Contract Management

Develop and implement procurement strategies suitable for engaging EPC contractors, leveraging contract forms such as NEC4 and FIDIC. Work closely with the company's legal team to establish and refine contractual frameworks.

Process and System Implementation

Lead the development and implementation of document management structures and processes. Deploy tools such as MS Project, Primavera, EDMS platforms, and contract management software to enhance project efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with technical experts, external consultants, contractors, and national partners. Leverage an established network of professionals in the industry.

Strategic Planning and Execution

Drive the strategic definition and delivery of projects to align with organisational goals. Incorporate innovative approaches and entrepreneurial thinking to optimise project outcomes.

Key Qualifications and Experience Education : Degree-qualified in a technical discipline is preferred; however, relevant project delivery experience is paramount. Proven experience delivering large CAPEX projects (£25m+), including complex program management. Expertise in defining and implementing procurement strategies and understanding contractual frameworks. Proficient in project management and document control systems (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, EDMS). Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with C-suite executives and investors. Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to innovate and drive process improvement. Experience working collaboratively with technical experts, both internally and externally. Why Join Us?
