This well-established, prestigious, family-run building contractor specializes in renovation, extension, and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties.
They have a requirement for a Project Lead / Project Director to join the team on some of the prestigious high-end residential projects in the South East. This could even suit an experienced Senior Contracts Manager (with super-prime residential experience) who is used to either being site-based on one large scheme or responsible for several smaller projects at the same time.
The position:
Directing and coordinating all project activities with a focus on performance. Setting, reviewing, and implementing project strategy. Utilizing Project Commander software for programming, reporting, and delay analysis. Leading pre-construction and post-completion processes, managing defects and post-completion works. Overseeing people management, including team leadership, recruitment, and client expectations. Commercial Management: Understanding JCT contracts, managing notifications, claims, and disputes. Proactively working with commercial team members, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate reporting. SHE (Safety, Health and Environment): Proactively managing all aspects of SHE on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations. Administration: Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters and utilizing company processes and systems. Character Attributes:
