D Job Purpose

The successful candidate will: Liaise with Site Management teams to establish site short, medium & long-term priorities Design, specification, planning, procurement, construction, installation & commissioning of allocated Engineering projects Conduct feasibility studies, research options, and propose solutions Cost/evaluate options, including in-house trialling Prepare feasibility, preliminary, and detailed engineering designs for engineering projects, including process and equipment specifications, equipment selection, P&ID’s, and layout drawings where appropriate Prepare capital expenditure proposals, including costs and project programme Execute projects, including installation, commissioning, training, and management of contractors where appropriate Be responsible for cost, programme, and design quality of projects Select suppliers Specify & purchase all items, including services as required Convert solutions into technical drawings using CAD software Manage/lead the project team & working groups engaged in project work Conduct detailed project planning and control Develop and maintain a detailed project plan Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan Record and manage project issues & escalate where necessary Resolve cross-functional issues at project level Manage project scope & change control – URS documentation Monitor project progress and performance Provide status reports to project stakeholders & senior management Final approval of the design specification Ensure compliance with URS, project plan, acceptance tests, and validation Work closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs Identify user training needs and devise/implement user training programmes Conduct project closure review meetings & handover to stakeholders Conduct six-monthly reviews to confirm project benefit to business Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

Formal project management qualification (Prince/PMP) or equivalent proven experience Engineering HND/Degree or equivalent, preferably in Electrical engineering Process control knowledge preferable Competent AutoCAD user ATEX experience desirable (working towards “responsible person”) Proficient Microsoft suite user (MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio) Experience of managing contractors on projects Knowledge of forms of contract Proven & quantified track record of problem solving An understanding of quality & HSE systems Proven track record of achieving stretch targets Highly organised, with the ability to plan, forecast & develop alternate solutions to problems Good interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing Working knowledge of modern sustainability concepts Energy management/monitoring experience Please note that you must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for any of our positions.
