Role Overview:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects ranging from £500k to £3 million in value. This multifaceted position combines project engineering, design, and sales support to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements. You will work closely with clients, the design team, and the sales team to deliver top-notch solutions tailored to the food processing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Engineering:

Produce and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD to support project design and proposals. Ensure technical specifications meet client requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.

Sales Support: Assist the sales team with the preparation of quotes, proposals, and technical documents. Provide expert input during client presentations and discussions to ensure technical clarity and feasibility.

Client and Site Engagement: Conduct site visits to measure and assess new job requirements. Collaborate with clients to gather detailed project specifications and ensure alignment with expectations.

Project Management: Oversee project milestones, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget. Work closely with contractors and suppliers to manage the supply chain and implementation phases.

CRM and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems. Ensure proper documentation of project designs, client communications, and approvals.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is essential. Strong understanding of project design and implementation within the food processing industry.

Experience: Proven experience managing projects with values between £500k and £3 million. Familiarity with CRM systems and maintaining detailed project records. 2D design of capital equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

Education: Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, or related field preferred).

Other: Willingness to travel for site visits across the UK and Ireland as needed (twice per month).
