Are you a skilled and motivated Engineer looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? If so, we are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Special Applications design while providing comprehensive engineering support throughout all phases of product development and manufacture. This position offers the chance to contribute to innovative projects and improve the performance of existing products. In this role, you will manage all aspects of Applications Gauging design and develop solutions to technical and manufacturing challenges for new and existing products. You will be involved in creating design concepts, developing marketable products, and designing test equipment, packaging, jigs, and fixtures to improve performance and manufacturability. Additionally, you will produce high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings for presentation, evaluation, and production purposes. You will oversee master data within SAP systems, including BOMs and routings, with potential UK and international travel required. You’ll work closely with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders, supporting production by refining programming procedures and SOPs, resolving faults, and enhancing tooling and cutting strategies to maximize efficiency. What about you?

Ideally, you will have an engineering qualification or be qualified through experience, with expertise in Microsoft Office, 2D AutoCAD, and 3D design software such as Inventor. A background in working with metals and plastics, designing precision components, and understanding tight tolerances is essential. You’ll possess strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, a commitment to quality, and a proactive mindset. Familiarity with heat treatment, surface coating, and mechanical assemblies is advantageous.
