Piolax is looking to recruit a Project Engineer for our dedicated UK automotive manufacturing site located in Altham, Lancashire.

We are looking for a

Project Engineer

who will be responsible for leading NPI and assisting with aspects of overall project management. You will manage the implementation of New Products and Localisation whilst coordinating projects and liaising with other Piolax departments. All aspects of the role will be in line with customer and internal requirements. This is an interesting and varied role, and you will meet some great people along the way.

What are some of the things I will be doing?

Lead the development and monitoring of Project Timings within the NPI framework

Liaise and manage customer and supplier interfaces at project phases

Assist with Tool costings including Auxiliary Equipment

Assist Sales with costings

Liaising with other Piolax departments

Reviewing of historical data for inputs into NPI

Assist toolroom with toolmaker liaison & tracking as per master timing sheets

Assist Development of tooling through trial process

Assist in raising document for Production trials

Updating GPLM (Global Product Lifetime Management System)

What do I need to have?

Project Management or Engineering Degree

The right to work in the UK.

Good communication skills both written & verbal

Good level of English and Math’s

Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel

Good analytical and problem-solving skills or skills that can be developed

It would be even better if you have:

Automotive industry knowledge

Manufacturing Engineering or Plastics experience

The ability to work on own initiative and multitask

Has a can-do attitude
