Engineering OEM Background Ideally Qualified to HNC/Degree Experience in Managing CAPEX Projects The Role

Liaise as necessary with equipment/component manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the appropriate provision of services, materials and the timely resolution of engineering issues. Identify areas of underperformance and put a strategy in place to rectify it. Ensure that access to the Engineering Stores is managed outside of its regular opening hours. Issue permits to engineers and contractors as required e.g. working at height permit. Ensure that Production/Technical Managers are advised when external contractors are operating within their designated area. Ensure that contractors under your control are managed when they are on site. Ensure that KPI's are achieved where you can impact them. Ensure all engineering documentation is completed in a timely manner. Ensure appropriate supervision and mentoring is in place for any Engineering Apprentices within your section providing for both safe working and advancement in skills and knowledge. Key Abilities

Must be competent to conduct root cause analysis. Able to record findings and breakdowns and issues, and communicate these to enable an improved solution. Creating and delivering project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifying resources and assigning responsibilities. Managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s). Being competent in required project methodology. Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
