Responsibilities and Duties Reporting to the Customer Engineering Manager, you will: Develop and improve maintenance plans and tasks to ensure maximum plant availability. Liaise with field service engineers and site personnel to understand and optimise maintenance requirements. Analyse boiler performance data, diagnose issues, and provide technical solutions for performance improvement. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to enhance operational reliability. Maintain and enhance the Pirana system for industrial heat and installed assets at customer sites. Provide guidance and support to the sales team regarding technical queries for new and existing projects. Assist with technical reporting, including system performance and compliance reporting. Proactively comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring the upkeep of certifications and compliance standards.

Professional Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience). Proven experience in a maintenance or reliability role, preferably in a relevant industry such as biomass or industrial heat systems. Experience in troubleshooting and providing customer support, particularly in a field service context. Strong technical skills with the ability to analyse performance data and implement practical solutions. A full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to travel across the UK and stay away from home as needed.

Personal Skills The Project Engineer role would suit someone who: Is a collaborative team player, capable of developing constructive relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Can make confident decisions and think creatively to resolve issues.
