A Tier 1 Contractor who has already been very successful through AMP 7 with a view to having even more success moving into AMP 8. Due to a large workload and order book, they are now seeking to employ an experienced Project Engineer to join their team and support a range of projects ranging from £3m - £5m. For the right person, they can find themselves at the forefront of some highly rewarding projects with an opportunity for progression into more senior roles within the business over time. Duties of the Project Engineer: Overall responsibility for working with the client's Designer and suppliers to successfully deliver all mechanical requirements across a project portfolio. Work with the commercial team to procure all off and on-site manufactured mechanical requirements. Closely monitor the progress of off and on-site activities to ensure delivery against agreed programmes and budgets. Responsible for undertaking factory inspections and quality audits, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction for all mechanical installations. What's needed to be successful: Display a high degree of technical knowledge and have relevant mechanical project engineering experience within a technical surrounding. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and consistently meet challenging deadlines. Commercially astute. Experience of both pre-production and production mechanical project engineering is desirable. Programme focused with an ability to plan and organise resources both off and on-site to deliver on time and in full. BIM/digital experience is essential. Minimum HNC qualified in a mechanical engineering subject is desirable. IT literacy is essential. Professional qualification is desirable. SMSTS safety qualification and relevant CSCS card are desirable. Remuneration / Package: Salary up to £55,000 dependent on experience. Pension matched up to 8%. Generous Car Allowance.
