This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to work with the Engineering Manager, North and wider leadership team with the continued provision of comprehensive support across a range of mechanical and electrical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the effective planning, control and management of projects secured from the tendering stage, through negotiation to contract completion. Draft quotations and undertake estimating for smaller engineering projects using a commercial approach. Undertake any reporting as requested by the Engineering Manager with regard to performance of projects. Assist with method statements and risk assessments on site where requested. Ensure that all interactions with the client are conducted on a professional basis at all times. Lead a small team/projects as and when required. The successful Project Engineer will have

Relevant degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical. Previously worked in an engineering environment. Experience of using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry recognised tools for tracking, analysis, business documents, presentations etc. CAD experience would be an advantage. Experience of applying health and safety legislation including risk management processes. A strong knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical contracting. Ability to build strong business relationships with key customers. Excellent written and verbal skills at both technical and professional level. Confidence in presenting and explaining technical concepts simply and succinctly. Able to work at a consistent level under demanding project deadlines. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks. Salary and car allowance, plus travel and incentive pay if working away from home.
