Fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company in the defence sector. As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving key projects, managing the full cycle, overseeing the end-to-end design and implementation of innovative new products tailored to the needs of diverse clients. This role is best suited for a candidate looking for variety as no contract is the same!

Your Role as a Design Engineer Will Include: Engage in a variety of electrical design tasks, including drafting design proposals, detailed schematics, calculations, validation testing, and preparing technical specifications. Take ownership of projects, seeing them through from the initial concept stage, through rigorous testing, and ultimately into the manufacturing phase. Collaborate with customer engineering teams to fully understand and meet their technical requirements. Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, coordinating closely with Mechanical Design Engineers and Production Engineers to ensure seamless integration across projects. Produce prototype products and assemblies, liaising with relevant internal and external departments to meet performance requirements and deadlines.

You Will Need to Have: A background in electrical or electronic engineering, experienced in managing electrical design and development projects for manufacturing environments. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an engineering role within a relevant industry. Good knowledge and working experience of cable assembly, wire harnessing, and electro-mechanical assembly is a must. CAD knowledge and experience in 2D/3D (Solid Edge / Solid Works / AutoCAD / Harnware / Catia).
