Your Role As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, planning, and execution of EV charging infrastructure projects across the UK. Working closely with the Project Manager and Business Development team, you'll ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities will be vital in shaping the UKs clean transport future. Key Responsibilities Design and develop EV charging solutions, considering capacity, infrastructure, and UK regulatory requirements. Create technical drawings (CAD), specifications, and documentation, including installation manuals and calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Plan and manage project schedules, working with installation partners to ensure seamless project delivery, commissioning, and handover, always prioritising safety and efficiency. Monitor project progress and costs, proactively identifying and resolving challenges to keep projects on track. Assess technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers and installers to ensure high-quality integration. Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, offering guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Work with installation teams, conducting feasibility assessments and offering technical expertise. Drive continuous improvement, optimising processes and project efficiencies. Your Profile HNC / HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in EV charging, industrial, or heavy commercial electrical installations. Proficiency in engineering tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, Factor Works). Knowledge of EV charging equipment (DC up to 360kW) is highly advantageous. Experience with procurement processes and contractor management. Familiarity with British Standard 7671 and UK regulations for EV installations is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to travel to project sites as required. Fluency in English.
