Job Opportunity: Project Engineer (Water) Location: Derby Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a plus package The company is looking to strengthen their Delivery team with a Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer for one of their flagship schemes in Leicestershire, or for large batches of work in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Hybrid working is available. Role Overview:

You will report directly to the Project Manager and assist in coordinating an effective and economical plant design and procurement strategy. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely information issuance for construction, commissioning, and putting to work in line with the Contract Programme. You will also provide cost data for forecasts and evaluate variations. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure project costs do not exceed the tender/varied allowance Ensure all applications for payment are made on or before the due date Complete and submit contract reviews and monthly forecasts on time Maintain good client relationships at all levels Assist with the Project Management strategy Establish and maintain contract filing systems Assist in producing the contract programme and monitor progress Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site management on design and procurement issues Monitor subcontract performance Assist in preparing construction completion and takeover documentation Continuously develop professionally through networking and industry events Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work Present a professional and positive image in all interactions Ensure appropriate confidentiality Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progression of quality solutions Evaluate innovative solutions and processes Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules monthly Ensure designs are safe to construct, commission, operate, and maintain Complete the capitalization process About You:

Essential: Basic engineering background Working knowledge of various conditions of contract, especially NEC Engineering/Technical qualification (HNC minimum) Experience in supply chain expedition Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes CDM & Health & Safety knowledge Desirable: Relevant professional qualification is an advantage Collaborative approach How to Apply:
