The Mechanical and Electrical Engineer plays a key role in delivering capital works and routine interventions across the Consortium's assets, ensuring sustainable and environmentally sensitive water management through collaborative projects, asset maintenance, and innovative solutions for flood defense and drainage.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background and experience in capital equipment project engineering or project management. They should have experience working with electrical control equipment and a proven track record of taking specifications to tender documents.

The Role:
Collaborate with the Board's Engineering and Operations Teams to extract value from existing assets using judgement and technology to support the efficient and effective delivery of the capital works programme. Lead and manage electrical, mechanical, and refurbishment projects from conception to completion, including specifications, drawings, schedules, tenders, and managing budgets and timelines effectively. Supervise the Electrical and Mechanical Field Engineer and external contractors to ensure the effective delivery of tasks and projects. Carry out asset condition inspections in collaboration with the operations teams and report on required works or amendments to strategic investment plans. Maintain systems and processes detailing the condition of assets, and maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and replacement works undertaken. Ensure that all record drawings are current and reflect any changes made during refurbishment or replacement works and are filed in line with Team systems and processes. Maintain and update as necessary each Board's strategic plan for refurbishment and capital replacement of pumping stations, pumps, and electrical control equipment.
The Person: Have a strong mechanical and electrical background. Have worked on electrical control capital equipment. Have worked in a projects-based role. Proven track record of taking specifications to tender.
