A large FM and Maintenance contractor who runs a contract for the Ministry of Defence to maintain UK MOD sites has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities/Project Manager to join the team. This is a permanent role and requires security clearance to BPSS level.

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hard FM project manager to work on a high-profile RAF base to help deliver a package of refurbishment works. This will be full-time on site near Lincoln. This is a high-profile client and the buildings are numerous and varied in age and purpose. Typical projects include re-roofing, replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, total refurbishment of living accommodation blocks, re-tarmacing of roads, new hangars and leisure facilities, substations, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring works carried out are fully compliant. Projects are grouped in either £25k and below or £25k up to £M's. Applications are welcome from experts in small works refurbishment or project managing larger jobs. For both roles, you will need to be able to manage multiple jobs at once.

As a Facilities Project Manager, you play an important part in delivering projects in a safe and risk-free environment. This includes management of safety, CDM, issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

You will be responsible for:

Meeting with senior management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines, and costs. Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members, and project teams, and revising based on changing needs and requirements. Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of staff members and supply chain. Monitoring project performance from external contractors to ensure timely delivery. Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders. Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation. Developing excellent leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders. Ensuring statutory compliance.

About You

You will be an experienced project or facilities manager with experience of working within Hard FM or a refurbishment and small works and maintenance background. Trade/degree or equivalent qualification in suitable construction/management or engineering discipline. IOSH/Nebosh certification. Excellent IT skills are required as this is more desk-based than site-based.

This role is subject to enhanced security vetting as you will be working within the defence estate. Please do not apply if you will fail this vetting.
