Project Leader Aerodynamicist

The Position We are looking for a driven Aerodynamics Project Leader to work closely with our Principal Aerodynamicists and take the technical lead of a team of talented engineers. This role focuses on developing and empowering team members to create innovative aerodynamic solutions. As an Aerodynamics Project Leader, you will: Work to clear aerodynamic objectives, maximising the group’s learning through effective use of CFD & experimental data Report results and theories in a clear and concise manner that encourages challenge and sharing of ideas Develop and empower less-experienced members of the group Prepare, plan and execute successful wind tunnel test sessions in our state-of-the-art, on-site test facility Lead development projects with a drive for collaboration, technical innovation and excellence Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of our work Maintain positive relationships and clear communication of information throughout the department and across the team Our ideal Aerodynamics Project Leader will have the following: Multiple years’ experience in F1 aerodynamic development Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate across functions/departments Proven ability to develop less experienced team members Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of aerodynamics Familiarity with CFD techniques, including non-standard models Proficiency in CAD for the design of aerodynamic surfaces What can Williams offer?
