You will be the key point of contact between the fieldwork team and the Technical Director/Company Directors. You will have proven experience of ensuring historic environment projects are effectively managed to meet financial and delivery targets, a record of writing and editing technical documentation for fieldwork, and experience as a main point of contact for clients and consultees. As a Project Manager, you will be comfortable with organising the logistical requirements of projects, working with and providing instruction to our administrative team. You will also have a sound understanding of health and safety legislation, and experience of producing and agreeing Risk Assessments. You will work to ensure that work is effectively programmed so that deadlines can be met. An adaptable individual who is able to contribute to business development activities, you will liaise with the wider Rocket Group multidisciplinary team (ecology, architecture, media and construction). As you will be in regular contact with clients and Rocket team members, you will be an excellent communicator, with a professional and courteous manner. We are passionate about supporting both traditional and non-traditional routes into the profession. You will be asked to support our trainees with their development through a documented training plan. Role and benefits:

A degree in a heritage and/or archaeology related subject Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and policy Significant experience of undertaking and managing fieldwork projects Proven experience of successfully delivering projects on time and to budget Experience of managing people and a willingness to train and mentor others Strong commercial awareness A personable and proactive approach Full clean driving licence A post-graduate qualification in an appropriate subject Membership of a relevant organisation such as MCIfA Experience of mitigation design Experience of working with GIS packages and of creating or commissioning technical illustrations Proven experience of successfully tendering for work If you drive your own and/or company vehicles for work, you will be paid in line with company driving policy. The role may require occasional working away from home for which accommodation and subsistence will be provided.
