The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Project Manager?

  1. Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and manufacturing staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Apply effective project management techniques consistently, adhering to established processes.
  3. Set the standard for your team, guiding them to meet targets and mentoring junior staff.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  5. Create detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and manage them within the MS Project Server system.
  6. Coordinate Phase Gate Reviews for projects, ensuring they are conducted promptly.
  7. Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
  8. Partner with the Finance Team to establish and monitor budgets, analysing data such as schedule-derived ETCs and risk cost exposure.
  9. Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Programme Directors to create technical and commercial solutions for client requirements.
  10. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management processes.


What are we looking for in our next Project Manager?

  1. Proven experience managing engineering projects through all or parts of the lifecycle, particularly with a focus on production.
  2. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to meet critical deadlines and successfully deliver projects.
  3. Strong understanding of risk management and its practical application in project oversight.
  4. Proficiency with project management tools, particularly MS Project and MS Project Server or equivalent enterprise tools.
  5. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
  6. Formal project management certification is desirable.
