Project Manager Decarbonisation This role contributes to the Horizon Power Purpose by leading development of decarbonisation project options analysis to recommend the future energy system across our regions, supporting a cleaner, greener future in consultation with our communities and stakeholders. In accordance with our planning framework, the role requires a high level of stakeholder engagement to facilitate internal cross-divisional and external community engagement with the intent to deliver energy solutions. Projects may include thermal and renewable power stations, strategic projects, and asset upgrade-based projects. This is a 3-year maximum term contract. Your new role will: Lead complex projects across a range of ownership and generation scenarios from concept and option development into a business recommendation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and approved scope - under the Project Management Methodology and relevant Business guidelines. Manage and coordinate sustainability, engineering, commercial, legal, customer products and insights, community and Aboriginal engagement, and all other services to assess and deliver options aligned to the decarbonisation program and business strategy. Lead and foster cross-business collaboration and understanding. Provide leadership to Project teams to enable awareness and understanding of the workstream interdependencies and how they can support project delivery together. Run workshops to ensure internal collaboration across all divisions and drive results to deliver Projects within critical timeframes to ensure ongoing power supply for our customers. You will have: Previous experience working in early project/options analysis phase and are comfortable working in uncertain environments. Excellent project management and process improvement skills. Project management qualifications desirable. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to build relationships and motivate teams of people. Experience dealing with external end-use customers, communities, and stakeholders. Knowledge of energy and utility markets in Australia desirable. Knowledge of energy systems planning principles and financial analysis evaluation principles desirable. A bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Commerce, Economics, or related field is desired.
