Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our client, a local government organisation in Haringey. The successful candidate will be a key part of improving Haringey's performance at responding to complaints, FOIs, SARs, and Members Enquiries alongside the successful implementation of a new software system for use across the organisation. The Project Manager will work closely with digital colleagues who are leading on the technical implementation of the new software system to ensure a holistic approach is taken to the overall project including operating model, staff engagement, training, culture change, and the transition to 'business as usual'. This is initially a 4-month contract with the possibility to extend after that date. This role is hybrid working. Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

Be required to project manage all projects allocated to them by the Programme Manager, seeking approval at various points throughout the project. The post holder will be required to deliver high-quality projects delivering on time, within budget, ensuring value for money, using effective project management approaches and techniques as adopted by the organisation. Will lead one or more projects and be responsible for the day-to-day management of all project activity to ensure their successful delivery. Set up projects that will include: Writing project briefs which set out the care for change and objectives of the project, Creating documentation to support and manage the project (PID’s, RAID Logs etc.), Creating plans which identify the tasks and activities needed to successfully complete the project. Define projects that includes: Preparing, refining and updating business cases that justify projects. Updating the project plan to build a detailed schedule which sequences tasks and activities to optimise delivery. Securing resources needed to deliver the project. Benefit identification and tracking. Write, draft and update Project specifications, ensuring they are correctly stored and filed within the organisation's data systems. Conduct research on options and solutions, gathering evidence and information which justifies chosen approach. Working with stakeholders to define the outputs the project will deliver and the benefits that they will provide. Set up files to ensure that all project documentation is appropriately stored and is secure. Create budget profiles for projects which clearly set out funding requirements and forecasts spending. Establish project governance, including scheduling meetings, drafting terms of reference for the Board, briefing Board Members on their roles and responsibilities and ensuring the arrangements are aligned with the overall approach. Manage change to any aspect of the project, particularly the scope, resources, and budgets ensuring the impact of the change is assessed and documented and the appropriate approvals are obtained. Personal Requirements:

A relevant professional qualification of significant experience of working in Programme or Project Management. Experience of managing projects in a public sector environment, including drafting business cases, project briefs, and other project documentation. Experience of stakeholder management including the public, local Councillors, and conducting consultation. A good understanding of the issues local governments currently face and the landscape across social care and housing services. Knowledge and understanding of commissioning and procurement in a social care context. Experience of managing project budgets in a public sector environment. Working Hours:

36hrs / 9:30am - 17:30pm / Monday to Friday

Pay:

£500.00 per day
