Project Manager

who has experience in a software development, engineering and/or a manufacturing environment, to help meet the business’ growing demands for project delivery. This is a business-critical role whereby the Project Manager will be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously. Working as the Project Manager you manage projects through the entire lifecycle from concept to successful completion covering a wide range of projects from New Product Development, Software / Cloud based Applications / Embedded Software plus many more. As a successful candidate you will join a Global Manufacturer and will lead and coordinate New Product Developments across teams in the UK, US and Malaysia. DUTIES Your duties as a Project Manager will include: Manage projects through the entire lifecycle from concept to successful completion. These will include: New product development and introduction Product customisation and maintenance Software (cloud application and embedded software) Technology and capability development within Engineering & Production Define and plan projects to achieve desired business benefits efficiently and effectively Proactively identify and respond to project risk & uncertainty, escalating where appropriate Engage internal and external stakeholders with the project so as to maintain alignment and ensure the right solution gets implemented at the right time to maximise value delivered Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards and that projects are delivered in accordance with project management processes Provide regular project status updates and reports CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL: A self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and a bias for action Strong team-working and communication skills. Confident in collaborating with people from different technical backgrounds and holding them to account Well-organised and able to manage their time effectively showing adaptability and flexibility to priority and situational changes Resourceful. Somebody who thinks outside the box to quickly and effectively overcome obstacles Able to seamlessly jump between the fine detail and the big picture, and has a knack for cutting through noise to get to the essence (and bring others on that journey) An analytical approach to problem solving Engages with sales and manufacturing teams in US and Malaysian locations Have proven project management experience with complex products Degree qualified (or experience and training to match) in a technology or engineering discipline Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Project, Excel & PowerPoint An understanding and awareness of product development support systems (e.g. Jira, OnePlan, Teams) Desirable: Experience collaborating with international teams remotely Customer-facing Project Manager, fostering positive relationships with customers while delivering successful project outcomes Have achieved an advanced project management qualification or certification (e.g. Prince2, APM PMQ, PMP) HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
