Project Manager
to join our Hydro Excavation Services team in Plymouth, MI! If you have experience working in construction project management

in operations, this may be the opportunity for you! There are
two
primary areas of responsibility that you will have as our liaison between field operations, upper management, and the customer: 1) Responsibility for overall project tracking, production goals, deliverables, and execution of projects; and 2) Supporting field operations and employees by launching crews daily starting at
6:00am , and ensuring that the production goals and objectives for projects will be achieved to customer and company expectations. The primary office location will be in Plymouth with regular visits to the Livonia shop and to the field job sites. What You Will Do: Project Management Responsibilities: Participate in pre-construction meetings as necessary to identify project requirements and needs Project status tracking, P/L reports, communication of progress with customers, project contract documents Prepare and communicate detailed daily project schedule to field crews, including production reports and crew status updates Review weekly/daily schedule to ensure maximum utilization of resources and personnel to reach revenue goals, project timelines and customer expectations Identify opportunities for improving services - methods and procedures, resource identification, etc. Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships Other responsibilities as assigned Operations Support Responsibilities: Support and oversight of field crew safety, including addressing and resolving any hazards, concerns and issues Be on-call for field questions and emergencies to assist with safety concerns, client/customer issues, training, support and project questions Oversee the work and productivity of Field Crew members (25 people minimum) ensuring support is provided for training, maintaining production goals, communication, successful project operations Make frequent visits in the field to ensure streamline of communication, quality and production Collaborate with Data Team to review and ensure data integrity Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities Review and approve field crew expenses Review field daily reports to ensure production is achieved Collaborating with HR and Operations on candidate interviews, onboarding, disciplinary actions, coaching and managing employees Other responsibilities as assigned Ready to start your adventure with us?
Apply now if you: Have a college degree in related field, preferred PMP certification, preferred Have a valid driver's license At least 3 years construction project management experience At least 3 years of operations experience At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role required Are willing to dive in and learn about our hydro excavation service line and the work the hydro excavation crews perform for our customers Are able and willing to work in both an office setting and out in the field on project sites Have strong attention to detail ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications, and federal, state and local regulations as applicable Have strong supervisory skills Have the ability to problem solve and ask the right questions Have strong oral and written communication skills required with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers Have strong organizational skills Have strong computer skills required such as Microsoft Office Suite/365 (including Advanced Excel skills), enterprise reporting systems, iOS, Android, project management tools and software, and GIS, City Works or similar systems Ability to travel in the field regularly to various projects Ability to be on call for operations support Are comfortable working outside in all weather conditions during job site visits We look forward to talking with YOU!
