Job Description
Fichtner is a global engineering consultancy with a strong history in hydropower, working on over 500 global hydropower projects with a total capacity of almost 70 GW. We are currently increasing our support to the development of several pumped storage hydropower projects in the UK of up to c. 2 GW in capacity and are looking for an experienced project manager to join our hydropower team and provide a pivotal role in supporting clients develop and implement their projects. We are looking for a highly motivated and professional engineer as follows: a good engineering degree in a relevant discipline; chartered engineer status (or actively working towards); relevant experience in the engineering, project development, and/or construction of hydropower, pumped storage, water management or tunnelling projects; an experienced project manager with full lifecycle exposure; exposure to relevant UK and/or European and/or international engineering standards; experience with standard forms of contract e.g. FIDIC, NEC; holding the right to work in the UK; effective communication skills; and a full driving licence and own vehicle.
