Project Manager

for a £30m Commercial Refurbishment. The

Project Manager

will take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control of all aspects of the operational and contractual elements of the project(s) in order to control and maximise the company's delivery of that project and lead the overall project delivery safely, on time, within the agreed budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. The role shall involve managing the client and consultants teams as well as the onsite team. This includes supporting the commercial team on profitability, protecting the company's legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to proactively support all commercial issues. To understand, adhere and implement the operational systems and procedures, as well as the companies SHEQ policies/strategy. Compliance and achievement of projects, procedures, personal targets and initiatives. Lead and set the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management. Develop and create a project plan to effectively procure and manage, monitor and control site operations to achieve agreed programme. Managing Supply Chain to meet project completion. Being customer focused to help them achieve their strategic goals. Undertake the works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs. Ensure consistent and regular implementation of standard procedures. Promote ideas and add value to each project team to maximise project results. Actively develop and strengthen relationships with clients, supply chain and their teams to maximise team and business goals. Manage, train and develop staff. Provide early warning of future programme and financial problems and ensure accurate real-time reporting. Avoid where possible and resolve disputes and support any legal matters in a timely manner. Proven experience of: Managing the client, designers, supply chain and direct employees. Taking personal responsibility in ensuring the project is delivered successfully. Playing a role which positively contributes to the project team and setting high behavioural standards. Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain. Qualifications Preferred Academic Qualifications: Chartered Status (CIOB/RICS) Degree (Hons) HNC / NVQ4 - Construction Management Professional Essential: Appropriate CSCS card. SMSTS valid certificate. First Aid at Work valid certificate.
