Experience in the joinery/construction industry . Role summary: The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project. The Project Manager's primary goal is to deliver projects on time, on budget and within client expectations. The Project Manager will work in a small team, supported by the Design Coordinator and Technical Designers, and is responsible for the Scope, Schedule, Project Finance, Risk, Quality and Resources. Duties and Responsibilities: Have overall responsibility for the project including technical designs, schedule, budget, risk, quality, Health and Safety and installation until the end of the defects/warranty period. Explain implications of changes to project scope to the client, contractor and project team and manage and agree any variations that arise from changes. Work with the project team to ensure changes are understood and approved. Ensure all contractual documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner and always before deadlines. Responsible for formal sign off on all project deliverables including supplier quality checks/sign off and site visits as and where required including international travel. Work with external contractors such as installation teams in addition to internal resources to ensure a successful delivery of a project. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for materials and services ensuring customer problems including snagging are solved quickly. Build relationships with suppliers, construction specialists and clients. Have overall Health and Safety responsibility for their project, managing and completing Health and Safety documentation such as Risk assessments, method statements and any other required documentation that may differ between sites and contractors. Have direct input for the project cost reporting and cost forecasting with the commercial team at project level. Perform other tasks as needed such as, but not limited to, estimating and admin. Desired Skills and Expertise: Experience in the joinery/construction industry . Experience in leading and managing complex projects. Excellent organizational skills with ability to execute projects on time and on budget. Problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a small team setting. Excellent timekeeping. Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office, MS Project. Ability to communicate effectively. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vital. Attention to Detail.
