We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for our client, a well-established national organisation with a strong presence across the UK and Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of mechanical services in Bournemouth. You will take full responsibility for all personnel working on that contract, ensuring that services are delivered according to the required SLA. Additionally, you will develop strong commercial relationships to expand local offerings.

Day to day responsibilities: Manage day-to-day project delivery, ensuring adherence to client requirements, safety, quality, and supplier performance. Oversee commercial management and reporting to line managers. Promote a “Safety First” and “Right First Time” culture across field operations with supplier engagement. Lead M&E field supervisors on designated projects, ensuring effective management of the team. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, quality failures, and service deterioration, implementing corrective actions as needed. Identify budget risks, supplier issues, and overhead costs early through close collaboration with the commercial team. Oversee staff work schedules and assign duties to meet performance standards, contractual KPIs, and SLAs. Conduct regular audits of staff performance and quality of work to uphold service standards. Provide timely reports to the Contract Manager on project progress, challenges, and solutions while promoting a positive departmental image and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Skill set required for the role: Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities. Experience working on NEC 3-4 contracts. Background in healthcare project delivery from a mechanical perspective. Recognised Building Services Qualification (ONC/HNC) in Building Services Engineering. Extensive experience in programme management. Strong mechanical systems knowledge for installation on designated projects. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Computer literate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
