About the Role The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. This position involves leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets. Team Leadership:
Inspire and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Stakeholder Management:
Proactively engage with stakeholders to align project objectives and address their needs throughout the project lifecycle. Risk Management:
Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project success. Budget Management:
Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met. Progress Monitoring:
Track project milestones, adjust plans as necessary, and ensure the project stays on schedule. Communication:
Provide clear and consistent updates to stakeholders, team members, and senior management. Quality Assurance:
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications. Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, plans, and lessons learned. Post-Project Evaluation:

A meticulous approach to project planning and execution. Experience & Industry Background: A minimum of 5 years working as a lead engineer or project manager in the water or wastewater industry. Significant experience delivering large-scale design-and-build projects, valued between £500k and £5m. Essential Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Demonstrated experience in a design-and-build project delivery role within the water industry. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to driving continuous improvement. Desirable Skills & Certifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be an advantage:
EUSR (Water Hygiene) Certification. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). First Aid at Work (3-day certification). NEC3 Contract knowledge and experience. Additional Information The role will involve travel across various sites in the UK to ensure successful project delivery.
