Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon - Fri

Location: Hybrid remote working, with 3 days a week in our VHQ.

Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

We're seeking Project Managers with a proven track record in delivering technology solutions to join our Technology Transformation team.

Day to day

Understanding the Project Business Case: Thoroughly review and grasp the project's objectives and strategic goals. High-Level Planning: Develop high-level plans that clearly outline the project's scope and align with strategic objectives. Detailed Project Planning: Create & maintain detailed project plans as needed, ensuring critical paths and milestones are identified and communicated effectively from initial project conception, throughout delivery and to completion. Effective Project Delivery: Lead the project with clarity and inspiration, setting clear performance and delivery expectations, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget to agreed scope while managing risks, issues, dependencies and finances throughout project lifecycle. Team Coordination: Ensure all relevant teams and individuals are involved and briefed appropriately, understanding their roles and delivery timelines. Methodology Adherence: Follow the VA Project Management methodology throughout the project lifecycle, setting and maintaining project governance that supports RACI management, decision making, project change control & project status reports.

About you

Do you have a Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP, PMP)? Do you have demonstrable experience delivering complex integrated IT solutions, particularly those involving the integration of legacy systems with modern technology using SOA/APIs? Then this could be the role for you!

In addition to the above, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of airline industry processes and technologies is an advantage. Technical Expertise:

Demonstrable experience and knowledge in delivering technical aspects is preferred. Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyse, design, and optimise technical solutions to meet project objectives and constraints. Supplier Management:

Substantial experience in managing third-party suppliers, external delivery partners, and offshore services. If you have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field this is preferred, but not essential.
