Project Officer

Starting salary: £30K – 38K per annum (depending on experience) Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Fixed term to Sept 2028 with possibility of extension. Based at home and/or at our office in Grantown on Spey Are you passionate about restoring and protecting Scotland’s natural habitats? The Spey Catchment Initiative (SCI) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Project Officer to help expand our vital restoration work. In this role you will initiate, plan and deliver important riparian woodland and other habitat restoration projects. Key responsibilities include: Project Scoping and instigation: Build relationships with farmers and landowners, agencies and stakeholders, to develop new restoration projects. Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed plans and budgets; secure permissions and funding. Delivery: Work with contractors and partners to implement and maintain projects. Promotion and publicity: Collaborate with colleagues to raise awareness and engage communities. The Spey Catchment Initiative is a key partner in the Scottish Wildlife Trust Riverwoods: A Blueprint for River Woodland Recovery Project.
